Randa looked at the person. He still was very scared, but he tried his best to not show that. "Hmm, yes. I am going to play rock. Just so you know. ahaha" Randa laughed nervously. He then put a card face down.
Raven comes back from vomiting off the side of the yacht, and approaches Relm and April.
"Man, this seasickness really messes with my stomach. That and the strange chalky taste to the wine they serve here... Are either of you up for a game after your match? Only for 1 star, I'm not feeling well enough to risk more."
Randa looked at the person. He still was very scared, but he tried his best to not show that. "Hmm, yes. I am going to play rock. Just so you know. ahaha" Randa laughed nervously. He then put a card face down.
Frustrated Boris could pick up on just about any tell someone had. What they meant, he knew little. But This Randa or whatever his name was--was nervous. Clear as day. He put his card down as if trying to play it off nonchalantly. Boris had yet to lock his card in, so he stroked his chin to press himself for thought. However, after the night he had, he wasn't in the mood for games. He figured Randa was lying.
Frustrated Boris: "Alright, then I'll play Paper. Just so you know. Heh."
He lifted up his old card from the table and put a new one down. He locked in his choice.
Akiyama has lost his final two stars to Riley. Which means... Loser Akiyama: "Hey, let me go! Unhand me!"
He was kicking and screaming as two guards grabbed him by the arms and was starting to haul him away. Until they stopped near the door, he was seamlessly getting dragged out without warning. It seems that because he had no stars left, that he was going to the same place that Randa was in.
Before leaving, Tonegawa walked over and gave him one final goodbye. He stripped him off his cards and gave them to one of the black-suited men.
"You won't be needing these anymore. We'll remove them from play for you. Unless some foolish saint with a heart of gold helps you, you'll be sent straight to hell." He chuckled, grabbing a smoke and heading to the upper room.
Tough Akiyama was going straight to the only place despair exists on the Espoir.
"I don't mind being a foolish saint with a heart of gold," I pipe up, "But, I'd like to make it fair. Akiyama, I'll give you one of your stars back in exchange for the rest of your cards. Does that sound like a fair deal to you?"
What a pretty little mask you have there. Mind if I take a peek? See the real you for just one moment?

Akiyama gritted his teeth, knowing that he had no better option than to swallow his pride. He shot a look to Boris, who hadn't stepped forward to help him. Then to Riley, where he then spoke up.
Akiyama: "Fine! Just give me the star already so they let go!"
Tonegawa barely even turned, making a noise that seemed disgusted by the development. He handed the cards to one of his men and the transaction was complete. His five remaining cards were handed over in exchange for a star. The Standings:
Jerry = 1 Star April = 5 Stars Akiyama = 1 Star Boris = 3 Star

Randa doesn't like changing his mind and he wanted to play this card from the start so he locked in his choice.

It was then revealed that...Boris had lost another star, but this time to Randa!
Relm woke up from their nap on the side of the boat, which is probably an OSHA violation but good thing we are in japan.
They reply “I think there’s a fun way to both play out our games with skill while burning cards. I propose we play in a triangle…
I play April, April plays raven, and Raven plays me. We place 2 cards facing their intended opponent, and then flip all 6 at the same time.
We should average out on stars, and burn cards faster than normal. I’ll also agree to reimburse any of us who drop below 3 stars to 3 so that they remain in the game.
Thoughts?”
The only true rule for Scumreading is to corner the enemy as long as they retreat.
We are gonna keep to the 2 cards per round system, though it wouldn’t be hard to swap to 3 cards per round.
I play April, April plays Riley, Riley plays Raven, Raven plays me.
3 cards would be everyone plays each other still.
If y’all would prefer 3 card then I’m alright with it.
April: "Since I'm safe, even if I lose, I'll agree to this." She turns to Riley, who she'll be playing against. "So it seems we'll be having a rematch."
As for what she was going to play against the two, they were at least going to be different. She didn't have that many cards left, and she was a bit on edge after just losing a star. Friendliness wasn't an offer she wanted to extend further than she had to.
I stroll up to April, trying to disguise the seasick stumbling in my step.
“Hey, we both came out of that pretty well - but we haven’t played eachother yet! How about a simple match to use up a card? What do you have to lose?”

April: "Stars. That's what we have to lose." She mused, while taking a look at her current cards. "But I'm pretty well-off, so, I don't mind. Let's play."
She locks in a card while watching the sickly Raven. She didn't have the heart to be hard on her, but her sharp wit wouldn't allow for an extremely easy win. A loss really didn't matter to her.

"Bad luck there, but I can't complain." I give a shrug and sigh, then look around the room. "Well, I still have a few cards to burn through. Who should I play next? Boris, are you up for round two?"
