Kuro: Welcome to the Umineko style mini-game of game 169. Please keep all things related to the mini game in here. First, let's recap the rules:
First, the rules.
1) This will be a normal game.
2) We will play an Umineko-style mini game in parallel.
3) Only players who have joined the game can play.
4) Players who have died can play in the Dead Chat.
4) The mini-game will be played in a special thread. Please keep things related to the Umineko mini game in that thread.
Each time someone in the game dies, I will post a little story about it. Your goal is to figure out how the murders were committed.
In order to achieve this goal, you will have at your disposal the following truths.
Red Truth: Can only be used by the GM. The red truth is the absolute truth. There is no need for evidence to support the red truth. I will mostly use it to negate your theories.
Blue Truth: Can be used by the player. Use the blue truth to present a theory to the GM. With the blue truth you describe how the murder occurred, or at least, how you think it occurred.
Golden Truth: A universal truth accepted by everyone or a truth provided by the GM. It can also be used as a clue from the GM. Will most likely not be used for our purposes.
Purple Truth: Can only be used by the GM in the story. Sometimes, characters in the story will speak the purple truth. Any statement made as the purple truth is true unless the character that says it is the killer. Only the killer can lie using the purple truth.
You will be able to ask questions: where was character X, ask character Y to describe what they witness, details on the crime scene (though, I will make sure to include any relevant info beforehand). I can refuse to answer though as long as I don’t have to refute your blue truth with any red truth.
You can ask questions by PMing me or asking in the mini-game thread or in Dead Chat. Don’t worry about someone stealing your thunder (ex. you get just one small detail wrong and another person gets it right after you did most of the work) as I will keep into account everyone’s overall contribution and involvement.
For the purposes of this game, each player/character will be referred to as student X, where X will be a random number. From figuring out how crimes are performed, you might be able to figure out which student is doing the killing, but you won’t be able to figure out who the actual wolf is in the game.
Rewards:
Those who solve the most crimes and are the most active will be rewarded.
- A custom title will most likely be one reward.
- I might come up with some little banners or icons for you to put in your signature (I’m not that good so don’t expect much).
If you have any ideas for impossible murders or weird methods of killing people (ex. locked rooms or something similar), please PM me and I might adapt it and use it in the game. You will gain a reward for this as well.
The game board, specifically, the story setting:
Welcome to Detective Academy, a place where the top detectives from all over the world gather to learn and test their skills.
The Academy’s campus contains multiple buildings: a main building with classrooms and laboratories, a library, a doctor’s office and a morgue, a cafeteria, a sport’s gym, houses for all the staff and professors, student dorms and even a subway station with a train passing through 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening).
Everything is opened with key-cards:
- Students can open the dorm building and their own dorm rooms, the main library building and others;
- professors can open their own houses, classrooms etc.
- the staff can open buildings where they work
- the headmaster has a personal key-card which can open his own office, the library, classrooms, morgue etc.; also, the headmaster has a master key-card which can open any door anywhere.
The master key-card is kept in the safe of the headmaster’s office. Only the headmaster knows the combination for the safe. The door to the headmaster’s room is locked automatically when closed.
Case #1: The case of the disappearing headmaster
The office has a bathroom and connects to the headmaster’s personal apartment. Both office doors (one leading into the school and one leading into his apartment) are locked automatically after being closed. The door to the bathroom is a normal one.
The apartment has its own door to the outside, but it was locked (and can only be opened with the headmaster’s personal keycard). The headmaster’s personal keycard was placed in the office, a drop of blood on it.
The master keycard is supposedly still in the safe, but no one knows the combination for it.
A week later, Kurt, the headmaster’s son arrive at the Academy. He was to take his father’s position as his successor. In a will, the headmaster gave his son the keycode for the safe. When he checked it, the master keycard was there.
The mysterious disappearance of the headmaster triggered the birth of a legend in the Academy: the ghost of Kuro, the missing headmaster would often perform tricks on the students in order to test their skills.
You might have noticed that I was talking about me. Yes, indeed, this is how I came to be. I was once a mere mortal, just like you. But through my death, I transcended this limited reality and became... a witch, a warlock, a God, a Game Master. And now you will all play my game!
Tremble in fear mortals, for this is only the beginning!
Case #2: The case of the deadly entrance ceremony
Relativeabsolute, one of the students suddenly started gushing blood from his chest and fell on the floor. He gripped the knife which had stabbed him with horror. His friend tried to help him, but it was no use. He was dead.
Right then, a voice was heard through the speakers. It was Kuro.
“Hello students, I am Kuro, The Game Master. I will teach you that your detective skills are useless against my supernatural powers. Prepare to die!”
Kurt: Everyone, please stay calm. Don’t touch the body as we need to collect the evidence. The speakers are operated from a room in this gym. Let’s go.
When everyone reached the room which controlled the speakers, there was no one there. However, as Kurt was checking the microphone, a bucket of blood fell on his head from a shelf over him. Angered, they all returned to the gym to discover another body lying next to the first victim: Raven. She had been stabbed with a spear. A satanic circle was painted around them and the second victim’s phone lay broken on the ground next to her.
The worst part was that the gym’s entrance had been blocked from the inside with a chair.
Case #3: Suspicious Murder Suspect Murder-Suicide
After classes and dinner, the 21 students all went to the gathered together in the lounge of their dorm building. Everyone was trying to figure out who the murderers were. Suspicion fell on Kolo and Fuzzy. Even though they protested, they were locked together in a vacant dormitory on the 5th floor. The door was blocked from the outside and during the night, 4 teams of 2 people each took turns to guard the dormitory.
In the morning, the pair on watch was alerted to a scream from inside the dormitory. To their surprise, the room was locked from the inside. When one of the students got the keycard that opened the door out of his pocket, the door suddenly burst open and Kolo ran away.
The students gave chase to the culprit who ran down the hallway and down the stairs. The students followed him down the stairs, but he was fast. As Kolo reached the ground floor, he yelled “You’ll never catch me alive!” and ran out of the main doors. The multiple witnesses went after him and caught him… dead, on the sidewalk to the side of the building, his corpse splattered over the concrete like a pancake, like he had just fell from a very high place. Shards of glass were scattered around him.
The broken glass was from the window at the end of the hallway of the 8th floor. The window connected to a fire escape ladder.
Fuzzy was long dead in the dormitory in which he and Kolo had been locked in. He was in the bathtub, fully clothed, sitting in bloody water. His arms were cut. He had died during the night.
Case #4: Ice gets burned!
Ice was inspecting the bodies in the morgue when suddenly she heard the door close behind her. The morgue only has one door. The fire alarm started and the sprinkler system was activated. When the other students came to find her, the door to the morgue was locked. When they entered the room, her body was completely burned, but there was no sign of fire inside.
Case #5: Leum’s solution.
Leum was found dead in the garden shed, hidden behind a working bench. He was stabbed. The shed has 2 doors and a window. The window was locked from the inside. One small door has a keyhole lock and a vertical bolt lock:
www.360yardware.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/IMG_1546-e1337897265161.jpg
The small door was locked with both keyhole and bolt lock. The key for this door was inside the room, on the workbench.
The window is old and has an old bolt lock system which can be used from the inside.
The other door is a large garage door which can only be opened or closed from inside with a button. It was closed.
Case #6: The case of the two heads
A little worried, student 17 went to check on Squidzz, but the door was locked and no one was responding. The same situation applied for the neighbour, Blackhatsam. Student 17 called Squidzz’s cell phone and heard it ring from Squidzz’s room. He did the same for Blackhatsam and the result was the same. Worried, student 17 asked the headmaster for help. The headmaster got his master key card from the safe and opened the doors for Squidzz and Blackhatsam rooms respectively. They were shocked by what they discovered.
In Squidzz’s room was Squidzz’s body and Blackhatsam’s severed head. In Blackhatsam’s room was Blackhatsam’s body and Squidzz’s severed head. In Blackhatsam’s mouth was the Blackhatsam’s keycard and in Squidzz’s mouth was Squidzz’s keycard. The windows in both rooms were locked and the doors had been locked as well. These were the only 2 obvious exists, but how did the killer escape the rooms?
Case #7: Behind the mirror
I will tell you what happened to her. She walked inside the elevator, pushed the button for the ground floor and turned around, her back against the mirror on the back wall of the elevator. Then, a shadow appeared behind her, her opposite identity. Her shadowy image in the mirror turned around and shot her in the back, breaking the mirror.
Case #8: The number of the devil
Case #9: The missing clue
Case #10: Fire and Ice
In the noon, alerted by a powerful boom, 2 students: 2 and 23 came to Alucard’s room: 802. This was practically the only room that was not vacated on the 8th floor. They broke the door and saw Alucard’s burnt body on the bed, but no sign of fire in the room. 2 went to get the others while 23 stayed on guard outside the door.
That’s when I decided to complicate things a little. I set the room on fire, making poor student 23 run for a fire extinguisher. When they finally put out the fire, it was too late to salvage any evidence.
Case #11: Apocalypse now
That’s when I decided to have some fun.
I opened a portal and floated in the air just beyond the balcony and summoned catastrophe.
“Fear me mortals! For this is my power! This is your end! Your pitiful demise is about to come to past!”
With my awesome demon powers I summoned a great earthquake. Unifutures tried to hold on to the railing, as debris fell from her room along with the entire building. She fell to her death along with her hammock, the splatter so big, she was unrecognisable.
When the others came to investigate, they found her room locked from the inside, the balcony door open outwards and her entire room in a disarray, like everything had been blasted away in an earthquake.
Case #12: Masked death
Opossum: I had seen Owl and Lion kissing each other before they died. How scandalous!
Cat: Among these people there is at least one killer: Cat, Wolf, Fox, Lizard.
Wolf: Rabbit is the killer! Also, I was with Deer the entire night so he’s not the killer.
Rabbit: Wolf is the killer. I was with Fox the entire time so he’s not the killer. I can also tell Opossum and Cat are not the killers.
Fox: Opossum and Cat is telling the truth.
Raven: I saw Wolf talk to Owl. Anyway, I can vouch for Opossum and Lizard. They are not the killer.
Lizard: I was on my own most of the night, but I can tell for a fact Fox, Raven and Deer are all innocent.
Deer: I was with Wolf and Raven the entire night so they are not the killer.
There are only 2 killers.
Solve this one logically and figure out the killers.
Case #13: Silent death
The autopsy could not determine the cause of death, but I will tell you what happened. While Student X was sleeping, I simply went into his room and pulled his soul out of his body.
Also, just to save time:
X was not killed by poison.
The killer or accomplice never entered X’s room.
X was killed in his room.
Case #14: Science is nice
The science lab is shaped as a large circle, with a round room in the middle which can be entered from 2 opposite sides (arrows are doors; circles are walls): imgur.com/a/qZZIc
First student: I was looking for a book. I knew it was on a shelf in the outer room (circle) so I went around it from left to right (Up>Right>Down)
Second student: I went into the lab after the first student. But after going up, right, down, I entered the centre room and then left the lab through the door. Didn’t see the first student.
Third student: I went in third. I encircled the outer room counter clockwise (down, right, up, left, down, out) and also peeked into the centre room and saw 2 there. Didn’t see the first student though. Maybe he was hiding somewhere?
Fouth student: I went into the centre room, went through the door t othe East, then circled the outer room counter-clockwise (up, left, down) and left the lab. Didn’t see the first student.
Fifth student: I encircled the outer room clockwise and was horrified to find 1’s body on the Southern part of the outer room. He had been stabbed with multiple metal rods.
Sixth student: I never went inside. I was waiting for my friend 1. This is the order in which they all entered and left the lab: 1 (in), 2 (in), 3 (in), 2 (out), 4 (in), 3 (out), 5 (in), (4 out), all (in).
Case #15: Murderer’s execution
The others decided to go get help but when they reached the main door to the outside of the theatre, a satanic circle was drawn on it with blood and tape in the shape of an X sealed the door from the inside. They could unlock the door from the inside though. When student 15 touched the handle to unlock it, the lights turned off and each of the students felt a pinch and fell asleep.
They woke up still dizzy from the drugs, tied to the front row seats of the theatre, the stage in front of them. It was still completely dark. That’s when they saw student 2, tied to a chair on the stage and I, Kuro, the Supreme Overlord of Ice, came flying down upon him from the ceiling. With a gesture, I tossed him backwards, making him fall on his back and threw a spear in his chest. With my evil laugh, the stage burst into flames and I disappeared back to my own dimension.
Blinded by the fire in front of them, the other 4 students desperately tried to free themselves, but with no use. The fire kept creeping in and they could feel the heat on their faces. Eventually, student 13 was the first to free himself. He ran to student 15 and freed him as well. Then, they both ran to students 18 and 23. Once all 4 of them were free, they ran out the front door, ripping the tape sealing it.
Just outside, they found the body of student 9: killed by a spear.
Case #16: The Killer Penguin
Moonlightleaf however, refused to come.
“This is just what the killer wants us to do: entrap us. I’m not falling for it. I’ll go back to my room.”
One by one, the other 3 students went to Moonlightleaf’s room to try convince her to come: first student 15, then 18 and finally, 23. Finally, Kurt sought her. When she did not respond, he took out his master keycard and unlocked the door. The other 3 students rushed over when they saw Kurt enter the room to see Moonlightleaf’s body on the floor. Stabbed.
“NNooooooooooooo,” student 15 rushed to her. “Whyyyy did she have to die…. Whyyyyyyyy???”
They searched the room for clues but could find nothing of use. Eventually, one of the students called out to them from the bathroom. When they all gathered to see what was up, they were equally horrified and confused by what they saw: a bloody circle; in the centre of it, a penguin holding a plush penguin which had a bloody knife in his hand. The killer had been found!
It was obviously, my minion: Peppy, the Killer Penguin!
Case #17: The End
When Kurt arrived at the gazebo where the final 3 students: 15, 18 and 23 were having their tea party, he was horrified and saddened to see all 3 of them dead, their faces blown to bits by a powerful fire weapon. Just then, he heard the sound of a powerful explosion: the Academy lay in ruins behind him. The killer had won.
Case #1: The case of the disappearing headmaster - Solution
Kuro rarely left his office, but when he did, he wore makeup that made him look older than he actually was. After he entered his office, Kuro poked his own finger and left his personal keycard on his office with a little blood on it. He used the bathroom (shower) to get rid of his makeup and discard any clothing he used for disguises. As such, his personality as “Kuro” died/ceased to exist.
The new identity, Kurt (his “son”) which has a younger look wears no makeup. He opened the safe and took the master keycard. He left the office into his apartment and waited there to make sure his plan would work. When he heard the door to his office break, he observed a while through the peephole and then left the apartment and went outside. He locked the door from the outside with the master keycard.
He knew people would break the office door first because that would be easier (faster to get tools etc.).
Kurt didn’t actually need the will, since he already knew the combination to the safe. During the investigation of his own disappearance, he went into his office through the now broken door and put the master keycard back in the safe. Later, he would “check” for it and find it there while the rest of the staff was watching.
It’s not like the headmaster actually fooled anyone. The staff was already used to his shenanigans and simply went along with it. The headmaster was a rather extravagant person after all. People just assumed he went on a vacation.
In order to play his little game, Kurt was given a new personal keycard, while Kuro’s keycard was taken to be destroyed.
A simple mystery for the start of the game.

Case #1: The case of the disappearing headmaster
A few years ago, the extravagant headmaster, Kuro, went into his office and never got out again. After he was missing for over 6 hours, they had to break open the door to his office but he was never found.
The office has a bathroom and connects to the headmaster’s personal apartment. Both office doors (one leading into the school and one leading into his apartment) are locked automatically after being closed. The door to the bathroom is a normal one.

Case #2: The case of the deadly entrance ceremony
The new educational year is here and the new students have gathered at the Detective Academy to begin their education. The entrance ceremony was organised in the gym. Kurt, the headmaster and the other teachers were on top of a stage in front of all the students that have gathered there. As the new headmaster was giving his speech, a commotion started among the gathered students.
Relativeabsolute, one of the students suddenly started gushing blood from his chest and fell on the floor. He gripped the knife which had stabbed him with horror. His friend tried to help him, but it was no use. He was dead.

Squidzz and Blackhatsam had been missing classes lately. The last time they were seen was when a mechanic came to clean the air conditioning units in each dorm. Summer was approaching fast after all.

Shy went inside the elevator on the 9th floor, being witnessed by student 2. When the elevator reached the ground floor, she was found dead by the people there. She had been shot in the back. The bullet was on the elevator floor among shattered mirror shards. The back wall of the elevator had a bullet hole in it. However, behind the back wall of the elevator is nothing but the concrete wall of the elevator shaft.
During the night, student 6 was walking down the hallway when he saw a satanic circle in blood with the number 666 written on one of the doors. After hearing someone struggling beyond the door, student 6 tried to break it with no avail. He quickly ran after the headmaster. When they returned, they found X dead, on the bed, stabbed. The door had been locked from the inside with the keycard and was even locked with a chain lock from the inside.
Case #9: The missing clue
Student 6 had invited a bunch of people to his room to discuss strategy. 2, 12, 8, 9, 7, 23 and 18 were all there. They discussed till midnight and then they all left. Student 6 was found dead the next morning. The door had been locked. He was in the bathroom, with a head injury. The floor was slippery and there was tape over the vents and drains.
Case #10: Fire and Ice
At 3 o’clock in the morning, I appeared in Alucard’s room. He was terrified but gathered the courage to resist me. No matter. Come fourth my minions! I summon you on this hour of the devil. First was my Ice minion. He trapped Alucard in a bubble of water floating in the middle of the room. Afterwards, my Fire minion set to work and burned Alucard to a crisp.
Case #11: Apocalypse now
Unifutures had been rather paranoid for some time now. So much that she decided to seal her room in order to protect her from possible gasses. At noon she was outside her balcony (room 902), sitting on her hammock made of net, sunbathing and having a nice drink.
The remaining 10 students had gathered at a masked ball, but after the night, 2 students had been found dead: Owl (Nameless Ghoulette) and Lion (Loxton). Here is an account of the other students.
Student X was found dead in his apartment. He had been feeling ill for a while now and had been missing some classes lately. When he had stopped showing any signs of life, the students asked Kurt to unlock his apartment. When Kurt unlocked the apartment, Student X looked like he was sleeping peacefully on the bed next to the wall. Kurt checked and saw that Student X had no pulse.
6 students had some business in the science lab so they all went together.
The remaining students, 2, 9, 13, 15, 18, 23 were all abducted from their room during the night. They all woke up in the theatre room, each person in one of the balconies overlooking the stage. Actually, all but one: student 9 was dead, on the stage, a spear in his chest (the others saw him from the balcony when they woke up). As the rest of the students went down the stairs and approached the stage, the body of student 9 was gone, only a pool of blood remaining.
The 4 remaining students gathered in the courtyard, for tea. It was time for the final showdown between the killer and the students and they were going to settle things once and for all.
Solutions
Case #2: The case of the deadly entrance ceremony - Solution
The victims and the killers had decided to make a prank during the entrance ceremony. Little did 2 of them know, the other 2 were deadly serious. The 2 victims were friends, and agreed to the plan with the killers who had approached them about it.
Knowing the blood would get analysed, they all prepared some blood in advance. The plan was for the bodies to go missing, but leave the blood as evidence of their death.
First, one of them used a knife to poke a blood bag which he kept under his shirt and pretended to be stabbed. One of his co-conspirators which pretended to be his friend quickly rushed to his aid in order to make the scene more dramatic. But the first prankster had no time to cry for help as his “friend” took his knife and actually stabbed him with it, killing him. The killer crouched over him, took the blood bag and pretended to cry.
Thinking the plan was working, the second prankster was waiting in the speaker control room and using a voice changer he started speaking into the microphone to be heard by everyone. As the others rushed towards his location, he slipped by them and went into the gym. He blocked the door with a chair and prepared the satanic circle, thinking his dead friend was playing the part of the dead victim.
He lay on the ground and waited for a signal from his co-conspirators that everyone was in the speaker control room: a phone call. After it rang once, he knew the headmaster was in position. He called a phone number which would set a trap in the speaker control room: a device that once activated via a phone call, would spill a bucket of blood on the headmaster. (Raven called not someone, but something) It would be hilarious. But the prankster didn’t know his killer co-conspirators had also set the phone call to make a concealed spear fall (not throw) from the ceiling right into the place they had all decided he was supposed to stay laying on the ground pretending to be dead.
While everyone was scrambling around, the killers retrieved any evidence of the devices used to throw the bucket on the headmaster and drop the spear on the second victim.
In actuality, Raven was Relative’s friend. Hence, she was innocent. Relative’s killer pretended to be Relative’s friend and lied in the purple truth when he identified himself as Relative’s friend. When I posted things in the red truth, I was referring to Raven as Relative’s friend, because that was the truth. A cheap trick, but it worked very well.

Case #3: Suspicious Murder Suspect Murder-Suicide - Solution
After finishing classes, the students were still in their uniforms. When they had dinner, Fuzzy was poisoned. He died during the night in his sleep. When Kolo saw that he was dead, he knew people would suspect him so he tried to escape. He fled the room when he got the opportunity. He first ran down the stairs and then hid in the hallway of the 3rd floor, letting his pursuers keep going down. He then went up the stairs, to the 8th floor. He broke the window, climbed the fire escape to the roof.
Meanwhile, the killers were observing the people standing on watch and the suspects. When they saw Kolo panic and make a run for it, they decided to improvise. One of them hid his face with his uniform and emulated Kolo’s behaviour. He took the elevator to the first floor and pretended to come out from the stairs and ran outside.
The other killer went inside the now vacant dorm room where Kolo and Fuzzy had slept. He took Fuzzy, put him in the bathtub with hot water and cut his arms. Then, he took the elevator to the roof where he met Kolo (he saw Kolo going out of the window on the 8th floor when he went back upstairs). Once he saw Kolo, he pushed him over the edge to his death.

Case #4: Ice gets burned! - Solution
Quite a simple one actually. The killer had put frozen acid in the sprinklers beforehand. While Ice was investigating, he put a cigarette next to the smoke detector and locked Ice inside. This, when the sprinklers started, the water melted the acid which burned Ice. She died of acid burns.
Also, there were nice curtains with marguerite pattern.
Also, there were nice curtains with marguerite pattern.
Case #5: Leum’s solution - Solution
The killer met with Leum in the shed. Leum opened the door for him. The killer killed Leum, and made sure the garage door was closed. Then he left with the key and locked the small door from the outside. He threw the key back inside through the window. He used a string to lock the window from the outside. As for the bolt lock on the small door, he put ice on the bolt lock, pushing it down. As such, when the door closed, the bolt lock fell into its hole and further locked the door. After a while, the ice melted.
Case #6: The case of the two heads - Solution
The killer went to Squidzz and was invited inside. He killed him and severed his head with a clever. He then took Squidzz’s keycard and the victim’s head (hidden in a bag of course). He left the room and locked the door with Squidzz’s keycard.
He then went to Blackhatsam’s room, killed him and severed his head. The killer then put his own keycard in Squidzz’s mouth, left Blackhatsam’s room and closed it with Blackhatsam’s keycard. He opened the door to Squidzz’s room with Squidzz’s keycard, and left Blackhatsam’s head in Squidzz’s room, with Blackhatsam’s keycard in Blackhatsam’s mouth.
The killer then used Squidzz’s keycard to lock the door from the outside.
After the bodies were discovered, the killer went to “check in on the commotion” along with everyone else. He first went into Blackhatsam’s room. While everyone was looking around, the killer switched the keycard in Squidzz’s mouth (his own card) with Squidzz’s real keycard.
When people later had the idea to check the keycards, they worked as they should have.

Case #7: Behind the mirror
Shy was seen walking inside one of the elevators at the end of the hallway. The doors to the elevator closed and the student walked away. Right after this, the killer came in and pushed the button for the elevator, making the elevator open doors again. The killer shot Shy in the back with a single bullet with a silencer and left, the elevator doors closing once again.
When she got in the elevator, Shy pushed the button for the ground floor and looked at the mirror on the back wall of the elevator. The killer shot her from behind. The bullet passed through her, shattered the mirror and fell on the elevator door.
The back wall of the elevator had a bullet hole inside it which was covered by the mirror. It was there from a previous, unresolved case many years ago.

Case#8: The number of the devil - Solution
The killer changed the settings of the victim’s phone in secret: he changed the dial tone to something really loud which sounds like people fighting. During the night, the killer prepared the satanic circle with paint and waited for someone to pass down the hallway and then called the victim.
Confused having just been woken up to loud noises, the victim opened the door, but was careful to keep the chain lock on. The killer stabbed the victim in the chest through the opened door. In a panic, the victim closed and locked the door but died from his injuries.

Case #9: The missing clue - Solution
After being invited to his dorm room, the killer went inside the bathroom and covered all drains and vents with tape. Then, the killer placed a block of dry ice in the tub and covered the bath floor with a slippery substance. After everyone had left, the victim wanted to take a shower. He opened the bathroom, slipped on the slippery floor and hit his head in the bathtub. In the meantime, the dry ice had turned to gas CO2 and remained close to the floor (as it is heavier than air). The victim chocked and asphyxiated on the floor from lack of oxygen.
Case #10 and #11: Fire and Ice / Apocalypse now - Solution
The killers had done the preparations beforehand: they got a body unaffected by the acid from the morgue, burned it with fire and hid it in the vacant room opposite to room 802.
After Alucard unlocked his room, one of the killers distracted him and the other one sneaked inside his room. During the night, the killer put Alucard to sleep with chloroform and killed him by directly injecting him with water in his lungs. Alucard died in his room: 802. After killing him, the moved the burnt body inside Alucard’s room and placed it on the bed.
Meanwhile, Unifutures had her fate sealed when she walked inside her own room: 902, just above Alucard’s.
A few days ago one of the killers disguised as a mechanic entered room 902 and tinkered with the air conditioning unit to make it only suck air from the outside into the room. The killer also secretly sealed off the vents and drains.
During breakfast, Unifutures had been drugged by one of the killers. The drug would take some time to take effect. The effect of the drug was that it made people dizzy and caused hallucinations.
People knew that Unifutures liked to sunbathe on her balcony at around noon and that she liked to open the air conditioner in her room when she did. So when she entered her room at 10:00 after breakfast, the remaining killer followed her and sealed off her door with tape in order to trap the air in her room.
At around 12:00, she was on the balcony, dizzy and hallucinating. She didn’t realize how bad it was until the subway train arrived at its station, causing vibrations to the building and making the dizzy Unifutures feel like it was an earthquake. She tried to open the balcony door to go inside her room but the built up air pressure in the room made the door blast her off the balcony and made the contents of her room look like there had been an earthquake.
However, she did not fall to her death. One of the killers caught her with a net on the balcony of the room below and injected her with poison. Then, they threw Alucard’s body over the balcony. Unfortunately, the net caught on to it and fell along with Alucard’s body. The force of the fall made the body unrecognisable.
Next, the killer in room 802 waited for the body discovery. Some students arrived, saw the burnt body they had prepared from the morgue on the bed and went to gather everyone. Meanwhile, the killer left his hiding place, took the burnt body in a body bag, placed the dying and unconscious poisoned Uni on the bed and set fire to the room. When the remaining student ran for a fire extinguisher, the killer took the burnt body from the morgue and hid along with it in the opposite room.

Case #12: Masked death - Solution
The killers are Cat and Rabbit.
Since Rabbit and Wolf accuse each other, that means one of them must be a killer.
If Wolf is a killer, than Deer must be lying as well. But Lizard vouches for Deer and there are no more than 2 killers. As such, Rabbit is one of the killers.
Since Rabbit is a killer, that means Cat’s statement is true and the remaining killer is either: Cat, Wolf, Fox or Lizard.
It’s not Wolf because that would implicate Deer and Lizard. It’s not Fox because Lizard vouches for him and Raven vouches for Lizard. So it has to be Cat.
Pretty siple.

Case #13: Silent death - Solution
The culprit had made a copy of the keycard of one of Student X’s deceased neighbours. Every night, the culprit entered the dead student’s room and placed a radioactive material next to the wall. On the other side of the wall, was Student X’s bed. Continued exposure to the radiation made him ill and finally, killed him.
Case #14: Science is nice - Solution
The second student is the killer. He followed 1 inside and killed him and stabbed his body with multiple metal rods. He then went into the centre room where he had the operations to a powerful super-magnet. He used the magnet to lift 1’s body to the ceiling. When 3 passed, he didn’t see the body. After, 2 deactivated the magnet, making the body fall on the floor. 4 never saw it because he didn’t go next to it. 5 saw it when he went inside.
Case #15: Murderer’s execution - Solution
After stealing the master-keycard, the killers killed student 9 just outside the theatre. Once inside, they sealed the door with tape and the bloody circle. One of the killers pretended to be student’s 9’s body on the stage and after everyone woke up, the killer got up and joined everyone else on the stage. Then, just as about they were about to leave, one of the killers shut down the lights with a remote and put everyone to sleep.
When everyone woke up, “student 2” was on the stage with the other killer disguised as Kuro (flying in the air with theatre props and strings). Being dizzy, the others didn’t realize they witnessed an optical illusion due to the angle they had on the stage: the spear fell in front of “student 2” and the fire also went up in front of him, engulfing a fake body prepared beforehand in flames. Just like that, “student 2” faked his death.
Then, the killer disguised as Kuro, burned his disguise and went to his supposed seat on the front row, just next to the stage and “tied” himself with rope. After, he simply escaped with everyone else and found student 9’s body outside.
Also, student 2 is Raven. The killers had switched ID with the fist victims, Raven and Relative (students 2 and 18). The real IDs of the killers were 7 and 21, which everyone though was Raven and Relative (again cheating a little bit since I said student 2 was killed by a spear and is innocent, which is, of course, true).

Case #16: The Killer Penguin - Solution
The answer is simple. There are 2 killers: one of them hid in the victim’s room while she was out (used a stolen master keycard) and killed her after the 3rd student had left. The killer then prepared the bloody circle in the bathroom and hid under the bed.
When the 3 remaining students arrived along with Kurt, the accomplice called for everyone to gather in the bathroom. During that time, the killer got up from under the bed and escaped the room.
Peppy the Penguin was just the victim’s pet penguin. And the killer put the knife in the plush penguin’s hand as a distraction.

Case #17: The End - Solution
The killer killed the other 2 students with a shotgun and later placed a fake body in his place. Then, he blew up the school.
