Soft humming begins to echo throughout the Village. The end is near.
A tall, cackling figure watched from above as the mortals squabbled and fought amongst themselves. Oh what fun this little game had been. So many corpses oh so lovingly littered the Village, and the grave yard was bursting with them! Oh yes, the God of Chaos had been clever in choosing this town for his little game. Hundreds of years ago too. Not that anyone noticed. Kuro giggled with delight as his crimson eyes followed the little puppets he'd been toying with, dragging his disciple to the remains of the hanging tree.
Scavenger could hold back no longer as he was quite clearly seen for the villain he had been. His humanoid form melted away to reveal a black, snaggle-toothed wolf. But he found himself stripped of his divine powers for some reason. Glancing up, he could see his master snickering at his misery and demise. The wolf bayed and barked at its master, begging to be given a second chance. But he was met with silence, and shocked stares from his would-be victims. He'd lost the game. And there were no miracles for losers. In his distracted state, Ponchi had managed to slip a noose around his neck and with the help of their fellow survivors, dragged Scavenger of Human Sorrow to the statue of the goddess. The rope was slung over the neck of the statue as Scavenger was dragged up in return. He violently shook his body to try and break free, but in the end was a spasming, foaming animal corpse. When his body finally went limp, a black sludge began to leak out of his mouth with a disembodied, angry scream.
Ponchi, L.Ravenhart, and Zeref thought the worst was over. But they had no idea what was in store for them. Loud cries drew their attention to the shrine of the goddess where the village Mystic came stumbling out, screaming for help when her voice was abruptly cut off. Kuro- their supposedly dead Village chief, was holding her by the throat. "Sorry, but I'm far too bored to continue this game over... and OVER.... and OVER." he sighed, crushing her neck and tossing the woman aside. The three survivors immediately bolted away, running through the graveyard, the Village square, and the housing area to get off of this cursed land. Kuro followed closely behind, destroying anything in his path. He would NOT let-
"What?!" Kuro asked in shock, finding himself blown back by a barrier surrounding the three who vanished into the forest on the village's outskirts. He couldn't move for some reason. And then... he saw it. Coming down in a shaft of lightening was the visage of the woman he had just killed. The Village Mystic. But.... but she should have died! She was mortal!
"You have had your fun, and I have won our bet. There is no use pushing this any more."
The Goddess of Thunder had finally made her appearance. And she looked pissed.
"Since you feel the need to draw this out and kill my winning chess pieces... I think you'll enjoy being sealed on your slaughtering grounds. Forever."
Kuro's screams of defiance filled the island as his body and soul were sealed into the goddess statue, and the Village that had once held so much life became cursed. The last survivors made it out, escaping form the island to do as they pleased with their lives.

THE RABBITS WIN!
Deadchat Password: clapclap
Mwuhahaha! Fear me mortals! For I was the evil mastermind the whole time! And the day or reckoning shall come to you all. You won't escape your fate!
And that time is Now!
Despair mortals! For it is I! Kuro! I have escaped the chains of my prison and come back in time to torture you all once more. I promised you all a reckoning and it has come! Get ready!
With a snap of my finger, I summon Cloud in front of me.
Cloud: What is this? How did you escape? I thought I was done with you.
Kuro: Why, this is the rematch Cloud. I hope you are ready?
Cloud: Hnm… bring it! I beat you once, I shall do so again.
Kuro: In that case… let us begin! This time, I will set the board.
First, the rules.
1) This will be a normal game.
2) We will play an Umineko-style mini game in parallel.
3) Only players who have joined the game can play.
4) Players who have died can play in the Dead Chat.
4) The mini-game will be played in a special thread. Please keep things related to the Umineko mini game in that thread.
Each time someone in the game dies, I will post a little story about it. Your goal is to figure out how the murders were committed.
In order to achieve this goal, you will have at your disposal the following truths.
Red Truth: Can only be used by the GM. The red truth is the absolute truth. There is no need for evidence to support the red truth. I will mostly use it to negate your theories.
Blue Truth: Can be used by the player. Use the blue truth to present a theory to the GM. With the blue truth you describe how the murder occurred, or at least, how you think it occurred.
Golden Truth: A universal truth accepted by everyone or a truth provided by the GM. It can also be used as a clue from the GM. Will most likely not be used for our purposes.
Purple Truth: Can only be used by the GM in the story. Sometimes, characters in the story will speak the purple truth. Any statement made as the purple truth is true unless the character that says it is the killer. Only the killer can lie using the purple truth.
You will be able to ask questions: where was character X, ask character Y to describe what they witness, details on the crime scene (though, I will make sure to include any relevant info beforehand). I can refuse to answer though as long as I don’t have to refute your blue truth with any red truth.
You can ask questions by PMing me or asking in the mini-game thread or in Dead Chat. Don’t worry about someone stealing your thunder (ex. you get just one small detail wrong and another person gets it right after you did most of the work) as I will keep into account everyone’s overall contribution and involvement.
For the purposes of this game, each player/character will be referred to as student X, where X will be a random number. From figuring out how crimes are performed, you might be able to figure out which student is doing the killing, but you won’t be able to figure out who the actual wolf is in the game.
Rewards:
Those who solve the most crimes and are the most active will be rewarded.
- A custom title will most likely be one reward.
- I might come up with some little banners or icons for you to put in your signature (I’m not that good so don’t expect much).
If you have any ideas for impossible murders or weird methods of killing people (ex. locked rooms or something similar), please PM me and I might adapt it and use it in the game. You will gain a reward for this as well.
Kuro: I do hope everything is clear? Now it’s time to gather our player pieces. Voluntary victims only.
Cloud: Alright, let’s go!
