Welcome! To Round Four!
4th Game ~ The Blackout Game
Rules of the Main Match
This will be Team Game comprised of 5 Players each.
Each Team will have an "Attack" and "Defend" Phase.
- Rules for Attacking -
0. The room you play in is dark and so the only people who knows their movement is themselves. The goal is get points by crossing over the line (or by skillfully not crossing the line).
1. Each team will be given a space to discuss their moves, but only after each round is over. (Or before it begins)
2. The attacking turn will last 5 rounds, one for each defending player on the other team.
3. After those 5 turns, another 5 turns will begin with the other team attacking.
4. When your team is attacking, you have two options: "Stay" and "Cross."
5. If you choose to "Stay" then you are safe from being taken out of the game, regardless of if the defending team pushes the Red Button.
6. If you choose to "Cross" then you are attempting to add +1 to your current personal total and your team total. Ah, I should clarify...
Your goal is to collect a personal score that is higher than the rest of your teammates and have this contribute to your team score. If your team score is higher than the other team, then the team wins. If your team loses but your score is higher than your other teammates, you are safe. If you are on the losing team and have a low personal total compared to others, you are one of the losers.
If you are a loser and tie for the highest, then the winners can choose one person to save.
7. If everyone on your team chooses to "Stay" but the Red Button is pushed, then the Defending team is penalized. The attackers must decide, by majority rule, which player to send across the line to gain a point for them and their team. It's a free point!
8. If the Red Button is pushed and ANYONE crosses the line, they are removed from the game until the next phase. (If there is one)
9. Anyone and everyone, so long as they aren't caught by the Red Button, can cross the line each round. So every player has a chance to cross the line.
10. You must tell ME if you want to stay on your side of the line or cross sides for a chance at a point. You can tell your own team you won't cross and cross anyway. They can't stop you. If you don't respond in time, you will default to "Stay."
Questions? Ask me.
- Rules for Defending -
Capture the Attacking Team so they don't get any points! How?
1. "Pass" or "Alert" are your choices. You pass by pushing the Green Button and you put the room on alert by pushing the Red Button.
2. You can only press the Red Button 3 times!! Out of 5 rounds, you really need to choose when to do it.
3. You can press the Green Button as much as you want. Out of 5 rounds, you can press it every round.
4. If you press the Red Button and someone crosses, you knock them out of the game until their team's turn ends.
5. If no one crosses, someone on the other team gets sent across for a free point.
6. Each defending player controls one of the round's buttons. Round 1 will be Player A, Round 2 could be Player D, it doesn't need to go in any specific order. You do need everyone to do one round though, so no one can go twice.
7. As with attacking...even if the team decides something, someone can make the executive choice to use the Red Button on their defending round.
Questions? Ask!!
Before you ask, if all the players are caught on their first attacking turn, then the other team is up and you lose your chance to gain points. So be aware of the risk. You only get this one life to live!
Rules of the Death Match
It is the same game as before but smaller scale! From the four losers, two will be paired up together to fight in a three-round royale.
The game will work the same as before. At the start, two players will enter the room on one side of the line. Whenever they cross, they get +1 point added to their score. The person on the other team has the choice to push the green or red button. If they push the green button, the players who are Attacking will gain as many points as they attempted to collect. If the red button is pushed, the Defending players will knock out the players that attempted to cross the line. However, if no one crosses, then they get a free point. (+1)
- Basics -
1. Each team will have a 3-round turn of "Attack" and "Defend." Turns alternate after the 3 rounds are over.
2. The attacking team that collects the highest amount of points wins.
3. Unlike before, the red button can only be pushed one time.
Depending on how the Main Match goes...we'll see if these rules remain the same.
