Sweet!
Welcome in, my sweeties!
I'm very happy you'll be joining me on this sugary adventure! Through it, there will be obstacles and puzzles for you, and everyone who's with you, to enjoy solving together! Or, perhaps alone, if you'd feel better that way.
First, however, let's go over some ground rules, to make sure we all understand and have fun!
🍬 If you did not sign-up or have died, do not post! Only those who are alive may post.
🍬 If you die, you may post once in the thread to say your goodbyes. (It may help someone else out!)
🍬 This game may contain deceit and betrayals! Please, no matter what happens in the game, it stays in the game. No resentment or animosity!
🍬 Decision making time will last however long you need. However, once you make a decision, it's final!
🍬 If you need to leave the game for any reason, post it! This'll just help those who may be waiting for you.
🍬 If you have any questions about the game, PM me.
🍬 You may work together in groups or partners to solve puzzles.
🍬 If you decide to stay back the whole game, that's fine. But, if you are the last person, you must progress to the farthermost puzzle reached by your group in order to win. Otherwise, the next person in line who reached that point will win.
🍬 Keep in mind, there will be 1 winner and 1 runner-up. This means you are against each other.

Decision 1
"We all have to start out somewhere, right? But, of course, we will start off easy!"
The group comes to a field full of everyone's favorite sweets. In total, there are 5 candies for each player. The sweet girl unwraps one and plops it into her mouth. Upon inspection, it appears that half (rounded up, if needed) the candies remaining are already unwrapped! Someone has been naughty! ):< Grossed out, each player takes one wrapped candy, unwraps it, and also begins to chew on them. After everyone finishes, the sweet girl turns to the group:
"How many candies are left in the field?"
Final answers MUST be messaged to me. (Either RDG or Discord is fine.)
This is how you can deceive / betray your competition. You can say one thing in the thread, but PM me something totally different. You may also be completely honest and work with everyone else. However, if you all get the wrong answer, you will all fail.
Based on the difficulty of this puzzle, you get: 0 hints.

Hi! I'm here too now. Looks like we get an easy puzzle, but no hints and the others get a difficult puzzle and they get hints.
Anyway, there are 7 of us. 5 candies for each player, so 7*5 = 35 sweet girl takes one, so 35-1 = 34 half the candies remaining are already unwrapped, so 34/2 = 17 each player takes one wrapped candy, unwraps it, and also begins to chem on them, so 17 - 7 = 10
But... it asks how many are left in the field. Not if they are wrapped or unwrapped. So if we just take out the ones that were eaten by the players and the little girl, we have 35-(7+1) = 27 (10 wrapped and 17 unwrapped)
So I'm thinking the answer is 27. (not answering just saying) What do you guys think? I'm guessing "in the field" doesn't include candies that are being eaten (because technically, they are in the mouths of people who are on the field).
Just throwing out ideas here, but does the girl count as candy? What about the field itself? I think I remember the world itself being described as being made of candy.
I'm gonna go with Kuro's answer though. Seems like the safe choice.

[Sweet: 1 Answer]
This is a tricky question. There were 35 candies in the field at first. The sweet girl ate 1, making it 34 candies. Half of 34 is 17. There are 7 players, so 7 candies were eaten.
How many candies were left in the field? Here's the trick. There were 27 candies left in the field. (35 - 8 eaten candies). 17 of them were just unwrapped, but they still remained in the field. Unfortunately, one of your fellow members has perished. They have been PM'ed. They may say something in chat if they want, but it is not required.

Decision 2
"Shall we take it up a notch?"
The remaining members continue forward, coming to a winding path. The path narrows more and more, until there is no longer a path in front of the group. Instead, there appears to be a large hole in the ground, with a ladder that extends from deep beneath the ground, to high above the clouds. There's a sign in front of this hole. It states, "Climbing above, you will find leisure. Climbing below, you will find labor." The group looks at each other, unsure which direction to go. "It appears we're stuck!" says the sweet girl, "But fear not! This one's easy! Just use your common sense~" she cheerfully jumps in the air.
"Will you climb up or down?"
Final answers MUST be messaged to me. (Either RDG or Discord is fine.)

[Sweet: 2 Answer]
Climb down. If you climb up, you will fall through the clouds when you step off the ladder, and splat on the ground below.
Hint 1: The ladder is study to the ground, not to something in the sky. This means that the ladder would wobble or fall if it wasn't secured to the ground. Unfortunately, two of your fellow members have perished. They have been PM'ed. They may say something in chat if they want, but it is not required.

Decision 3
"Too easy?"
Climbing the ladder, the remaining members stumble into a small cavern-like room. There isn't much in this area, other than a few items scattered around. In fact, surveying the area, you only really find some pebbles here and there, some stalagmites, but nothing special. Suddenly, the group hears a whooshing sound behind them as they were checking out the cavern. The ladder to the surface has suddenly disappeared! "Oh no! How will we get out of here?" the candy girl looks concerned. Turning back around from watching the missing ladder, the cavern has suddenly changed as well! There was lots of things to interact with in the room, but just before everyone investigates, the room goes pitch-black! You remember seeing three items within arms length near you. You can't remember exactly which was which, but you remember one of them could kill you. You make your best attempt to think back:
The item on the right was mottled and thin. Something a baby might enjoy. The item on the left was thin as well, but tough appearance. Very sturdy looking. The item in front of you was girthier than the other two item. But smaller. Reminds you of a case to store things in.
"Which item do you grab?"
Final answers MUST be messaged to me. (Either RDG or Discord is fine.)

The item choice will either help or hamper your next Decision.

Hint 1: You hear a rattle from the right. Or maybe it was the left? It's hard to tell with all the echoing in the cavern. Whatever it is, it doesn't sound good.

Decision 4
". . ."
Depending on the item you grabbed in Decision 3, you decide to search the room. You get a total of 5 actions, and you can work with your group to escape the room. Right now there are several areas / items to explore (directionals don't change based on where you stand):
Left Wall
Right Wall
Front Wall
Back Wall
Floor
Ceiling (requires 2 people)
Small boulder in center
Items on left side of room
Items on right side of room
Miniature lagoon
"Escape the room!"
Answers do not need be messaged to me. (But you only get 5, I will keep track!)
You can deceive / betray your competition. You can say one thing in the thread, but PM me something totally different. You may also be completely honest and work with everyone else. However, if you all get the wrong answer, you will all fail.
Based on the difficulty of this puzzle, you get: Freedom to Explore and a general Map. (5 actions total!)
Post by SpellCraft on Dec 16, 2017 22:03:58 GMT -5
Keep in mind, the places / items are general.
You can do stuff when searching the place / item, but it will cost an action. Things will be hinted in the description, it is up to you if you act upon those hints.
