Chapter 1: The worst day ever
Chapter 1: The worst day ever
My alarm screamed at me to wake up and get out of bed. I really didn't want to, but I knew I had a major work to show at school. An English work to be exact. I got out of bed, ate breakfast quickly, washed my teeth and put on my clothes. I was ready to leave. I checked my phone and it was 8:00 am. October 30, 2015. At least it was Friday.
I picked up my bag and went to the bus stop where I would stay for several minutes waiting for the bus. The weather in that day was horrible. It was a winter day, with heavy rain and I, dumb, had forgotten to bring the umbrella and got really wet. Nice way to start the day.
Inside the bus, I took out my headphones and started listening to my favourite songs. Sudddenly, the bus started to make strange noises. The bus wouldn't move. Another bad thing to ruin a really important day. Now I had to wait for a new bus to arrive. The driver said the bus would take some time to come and so I decided to go on my own feet. I couldn't be late for that presentation. If I didn't show that work, I would be in trouble. In real bad trouble.
When I got to school, I was really soaked to the skin, because of the intense rain. I started to sneeze a lot. Maybe I was getting sick, but I didn't care. The work was more important. I went to the room where the work would be shown. This work had made me stay up for several nights. I knocked on the door and nothing. I opened it and the room was empty. "Where the hell is everyone?"- I thought. I called a friend and he said the work was due on the day before. I was shocked. Now I had to repeat the year again. My parents would be reallt mad when they found out.
As I thought the day couldn't get any worse, my head started aching. I didn't think that it was because of the rain. Not sleeping had made me tired. My eyes started closing and closing and ... *bump* I was laid down on the floor. I opened my eyes and everything was blurry. However, I could see a shape. It seemed a man. Then I heard a metallic noise. It came from the man. "You will be participating in a special experiment. We have been watching you for months and we think you would be a perfect subject. In there, you will put your life in danger. You will find it fun. So, let's announce the beginning of the game." Then silence. I began thinking of what he had said. Experiment? Have been observed for months? A game? PUT MY LIFE IN DANGER? what was he talking about? The more I thought, the more I realised that everything he said didn't make sense. As I was trying to understand more about it, everything turned black.
