Hello everyone. This is where it is because, quite frankly, I have no idea where else to put it.
This is in reference to my previous post, that you can find by clicking this.
To sum it up: I'm disappointed in many behaviors that have become increasingly common and apparent in the games here. As I repeat from my post, this is coming from many individuals in many ways, so much so that I feel the need to address this to everyone.
As I said in my previous post:
And, I repeat, this is addressed to everyone here.
A few things need to be raised:
1) The crucial difference between fighting and debating.
2) The fact that people feel comfortable being an Kanye West.
3) The reactions that people have to said behavior.
4) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.... the rules. If you read nothing else here, read this point.
Obviously, I'll go in order.
The Crucial Difference Between Fighting and Debating
This point is most important when it comes to the idea that one needs to be an Kanye West to spurn a reaction from someone to catch them from a wolf.
When I was younger, I was in a debate society and the first thing that our mentor made sure to teach us was this very important distinction. I've told it to some of you before, and now I'll say it to all of you. It is something I will probably never forget, and I ask you to take this principle to heart when playing this game.
Debating is the act of using real evidence and reasoning to prove your point or come to a conclusion. It is done is a reasonable manner. Yes, granted, sometimes this becomes heated. However, it is heated in terms of the topic discussed... not the person discussing it.
Fighting is the act of using personal evidence or insult to affect the way your competitor or opponent feels or behaves. It is the direct use of personal comment or insult that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
I will allow one point: sometimes personal comment or criticism is needed or used in this game to prove a point.
Yes. Yes it is. Evidence from a player's past is used when deciding whether or not this person is a wolf. I understand that. I've been playing this game long past long enough to be completely aware of that.
However, there is a difference in the way that this evidence can be used. It really comes down to respect. Evidence about someone else can be used respectfully.
People Feel Comfortable Being An Kanye West
I will never understand people who feel comfortable in their own skin when they're being an Kanye West. I will never understand how people can be okay with knowing that they have upset or hurt someone else. I am happy I do not understand that. We all hurt people, why would you go out of your way to purposefully do it?
All I have to ask is why? Why do you feel comfortable behaving in this fashion? Actually, I don't care. I don't want to understand this.
Instead, I will point something out to you all.
People from various stages, various walks of life, and various health states (mental and physical) pass through this website to play a game that they thought would be fun.
I know there are players who suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and various other things. There are players here who are recently or currently going through the death or failing health of a close or loved one. There are players who might be struggling in their day to day life who come here as a means to escape or have fun.
You have no idea what someone is going through on the other side of a computer screen; there is no way you can know what someone else is going through since you cannot physically be there to see them and their reactions. You have no idea the type of damage a few words can do to a person.
Do you really want to willingly be the villain in another person's life story?
Do you want to be the person that said that one comment that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives?
Sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never heart me = BULL PUPPIES.
Don't be an Kanye West. Just don't. There is no reason for it.
The Reactions That People Have To Said Behavior
This reaches out to two different groups of people.
1) The, for lack of better term, victim of the behavior.
2) The people who encourage it.
People in group two: Cut that PUPPIES out.
That's all.
People in group one: I understand that the normal reaction is to lash out about it and return the behavior. I've done it. I'm guilty of it.
Basically, try not to do that. Feel free to let the person know how you felt from what they said, but please try not to make a bigger thing of it.
Please remember that at the end of the day, this is a game. It is a game. You're better than succumbing to such blows. Feel what you feel, but also try not to let it get to you too much. Talk to someone about it. Hell, if you need to talk to someone about it, feel free to talk to me about it. I'm always willing to listen. PM me or add me on Skype. I'm a good listener, I promise.
THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT: The Rules
And if, after reading this, you are unconvinced and still think rude, Kanye Westish, and mean behavior is okay on this forum (despite that there is no need for it and you are getting all of this from a GM)...
Please see the rules.
I'll quote it for you:
Don't believe me? Go look at the rules again.
THEREFORE, FROM ALL OF THIS I HAVE THIS TO SAY:
I can't speak for Kuro or Santa †, but if people are behaving in unnecessarily cruel or in intentionally mean ways, I will start to remove them from my games after a warning. If you play, you are agreeing to follow the rules. Do not break the first rule in my games. I won't stand for it. I'm not kidding.
Be wise. Be aware. Be better than this. If you hurt someone, apologize. Talk it out.
I know you're all better than this. Please don't let this faith be misplaced.
Please don't ever disappoint me again.

As I said in my previous post:
Before you start to come up with reasons to justify any cruel behavior or words by saying, "This is the type of game that we play." or "This is how the game goes." or "This is a viable wolf-hunting tactic..." or "This is only an act. I'm really a nice person!" Let me stop you right there. Save it. I've heard all of them before. I'm not hearing any of those excuses now.
If you have to lower yourself to using words and phrases that make someone feel purposefully victimized... then you are a not a nice person. I don't care if you're the nicest person outside of this game and this is just a mask or facade-- no. You are not a nice person for taking enjoyment and amusement in the personal insult of others. And I don't care if someone considers being mean to someone a 'viable wolf tactic'... that's a cruel way to play a game.
And, I repeat, this is addressed to everyone here.
