**Make sure to vote in the actual poll. (Not the poll on this thread.) Link below.

So I have spent countless seconds meticulously designing a new game variant for Rabbit Doubt. Now before I get into the mechanics of the game, I would like to address certain questions that I'm anticipating.
1) Why are you creating a new mod? (We already have different game types...)
Two reasons. First, because I feel like it and second, because it creates variety. And we all know variety is good. No one likes eating hot dogs everyday. Now I know we already have plenty of game types created by your lovely GMs (give them a round of applause) but I fear that they are getting overused. So a fresh variation would be just the prescription to spice things up. Also some game types function rather well while others are completely broken. (cough cough lyon)
2) Why are you so awesome and sexy and cool?
Well primarily, it is because I'm hiddenl. But don't be fooled, I wasn't always a cool casanova. I once was a human being just like you until I woke up one day and said "Awesome activate." From that point on, I became the deity I am today. Plus eating cookies help too. (THEY ARE SO Kittens!ing GOOOD! OM NOM NOM!)
Hiddenl's Game Type: CAPTURE THE SPY!
Mechanics:
1) The game will compose of two teams, the rabbit team and the wolf team.
2) They will be even teams of whatever number of players there enlisted. If there are an odd number of players it won't work. Even teams are needed.
3) In each team there will be an enemy spy from the opposing team. So in the rabbit team there will be a wolf spy and in the wolf team there will be a rabbit spy.
4) It will be team's objective to kill the spy hiding within their ranks. The rabbit team will try to kill the wolf spy and vice-versa.
5) Three players on each team will serve as the team contacts and will know the identity of their spy. The spy will also know the identity of their team contacts giving them a group in which they can consult with.
**It will be up to the team contacts to risk sharing the identities of their spies to the rest of the teams.
6) The two teams will take turns every other round voting to hang the person who they suspect is the spy. For example if the rabbit team is selected to vote in the first round, they (and only them) will vote for the player they think is the wolf.
7) While one team votes, it will be the other team's goal to try and confuse and/or instigate the opposing team.
(**Now this doesn't mean you can spam their round with gifs and PUPPIES. That will get annoying really quickly.) Just don't be an obvious troll. Try to create tension and distrust like a normal sociopath.
8) Whether or not the team kills the spy in the hanging round determines the next course of action. Obviously if the enemy spy is killed, that team wins. If the team fails to hang the enemy spy, then that team's spy will kill one of the enemy players.
9) In the hanging round, in addition to the hanging, one member of the opposing team will be selected at random to kill a player from the enemy team. For example, it is the 2nd round and it is the rabbit team's turn to vote for a member so they make their decision. In the 2nd hanging they find out that the rabbit wasn't a spy. They also find out that while they hanged a rabbit, a wolf manage to kill one of their members.
**What makes this additional rule so crucial is that the wolf has to pick to kill one of the rabbits. If the player doesn't know who the spy is they could unknowingly kill the wolf spy. This is what makes the team contacts in each team important and also forces them to be calculating and clever in communicating with their fellow team without letting the enemy spy know.
10) Enemy spies will NEVER be selected as the random wolf/rabbit so keep that in mind.
11) Once a member of the enemy team has been killed, it will be the opposing team's turn to vote the most suspicious member of their team to the gallows. If unsuccessful then their spy will proceed to kill one of the opposing team members.
12) This cycle will continue until either one team's spy is killed or all the players on one team is dead.
Example:
1st Round: Rabbit Team's turn to vote. They vote one member of their team.
1st Hanging: Team member not a spy. Random Wolf kills one of the rabbits.
2nd Round: Rabbit spy killed one of the wolves. Wolf team's turn to vote. They vote one of their team members.
2nd Hanging: Team member not a spy. Random Rabbit kills one of the wolves.
3rd Round: Wolf spy kills one of the rabbits. Rabbit Team's turn to vote. They vote for a team member.
3rd Hanging: Team member is a spy.
Rabbit Team wins.
Or if the member turns out to be innocent, the rounds continue.
This is the bare essence of "Capture the Spy." If you find the game's premise amusing and even interesting, be sure to let me know so that I can talk with the GMs and see if we can implement a beta game. Also if you have any questions, concerns or improvements, feel free to leave a post voicing your thoughts on this thread. If the beta is approved and successful then that would be awesome. Like me.
**Editor Note: I'm still unsure as to whether or not I want 1 or 2 spies for each team. If the teams are more than 10 people I would probably consider 2 spies as to not prolong the game. Short intense games are better anyways. So the only changes to the rules will be that there will be two people voted for in each round, two hanged and two killed by the spies. There would also be 5 team contacts.
(**Side note this game will require consistent participation. If this game get accepted, in order to play you have to be committed. If you think you won't be able to commit daily then please don't sign up. If you are the Kanye West that ruins my game by being afk, I'll try my very hardest to convince the GMs to penalize you.)
