Welcome to Season 2 of RDG – GoT style. This game will be completely normal, it will just have a mini-game on the side. There will be no more hidden fake rules like last time and no catch to the mini-game. There will also be no winner to the mini-game. You will simply be able to do whatever you want with the board that I set up for you guys. Everyone will have a general goal though.
- Everyone will start with a certain amount of resources (men-at-arms, gold, skills, assets, bannermen) depending on the house they chose. To make things easier for me I will work with smaller numbers.
- Bannermen are smaller houses who have sworn fealty to a greater house.
- You can attack someone and steal their castles and gold.
- With gold you can buy sellswords (mercenaries), or improve your army (get better weapons or armour, train your troops, buy horses, buy ships etc.).
- You can also invest in agriculture, trade, economy to get more money.
- Your bannermen’s gold and army is not yours. You can order them to do something and they might comply depending on how loyal they are to you.
- There are a bunch of kings and queens. Other players may swear fealty to one or another. Of course, the kings and queens can also surrender and bend the knee to other kings or queens.
- Feel free to backstab, betray, rebel etc.
- Bannermen will be controlled by me. Generally they will act more meekly or do as their Lord commands. But that may depend on the circumstances. You can also attack bannermen and make alliances with them.
- Alliances are usually formed by marriage, so players can marry each other if they want (no same-sex marriage! You can someone as your lover / paramour if you really want to but same-sex marriage is not recognised in Westeros).
- Usual line of succession: King/Queen > sons > daughters > king’s oldest brother/sister > his sons etc. House Martell is the only one that does not discriminate between sexes. You can control your line of succession by leaving me a will. You can even give it to a person that’s not in your family.
- Influence and notoriety is important. If you form an alliance with someone, make sure you go to that person’s castle so that his/her men can get to know you and follow you in battle should your spouse die. A wedding’s location is important.
- Next of kin (siblings, children, spouses etc.) can overthrow a current King/Queen.
- I will decide who wins a battle depending on each player’s resources and how much they invested in their army.
- Some players will have special conditions: ex. the outlaws, the night’s watch, merchants, assassins (if you choose to be one) etc.
- There are no strict rules to this mini-game. Feel free to improvise. Let your imagination go loose. Of course, if you want to be a special type of character, we’ll make it work and I’ll find some sort of goal for you.
- You can start making actions after the sign-ups are closed.
- You can do any action within the rounds and the hanging.
- In order to do an action (attack, buy, invest etc.), you need to PM me. If a group of players want to do an action together (ex. attack someone else), the whole group needs to PM me (just create a convo with me in it).
- After you PM me, your action will be included in the story during the next hanging/round. So if you attack someone in hanging 1, that attack will be mentioned in round 2. I will decide who wins the battle depending of each player’s resources.
- The wolves can play too
-This mini-game will have no influence whatsoever on the actual game of Rabbit Doubt (really this time)
- There will be no hints as to the identity of the wolves in the story.
- You can just ignore the mini-game if you don’t feel like playing it.
- No one is going to die just because they were attacked, exiled, backstabbed or whatever as part of this minigame. They will be able to play the game of Doubt normally.

Other:
House Targaryen, once the rulers of Westeros, they were believed to be extinct. Now they live in exile in the fee city of Pentos, on the Western Coast of Essos.
The Sworn Brothers of The Night’s Watch on The Wall
The Free Folk (The Wildlings beyond the Wall)
The Outlaws: The Brotherhood Without Banners
Current alliances in Westeros:
House Lannister currently holds The Crownlands and The Westerlands. As the house ruling over King’s Landing, they are the true Rulers of Westeros.
House Baratheon currently holds The Stormlands. As their line is directly descended from the Targaryens and they will conquer King’s Landing. In the name of the one true God R’hollor, they are the true Rulers of Westeros.
House Greyjoy currently holds the Iron Islands. They will conquer all of Westeros with iron and salt and they will become the true Rulers of Westeros.
House Stark currently holds The North. Their bannermen are forever loyal and they acknowledge House Stark as the true Rulers of the North.
House Targaryen has ruled over Westeros at King’s Landing for centuries until the usurpers dared to betray them. Their blood is the blood of The Dragon and those who betrayed them will know that soon enough. They are the true Rulers of Westeros.
House Arryn is currently neutral. So far they have observed this war from the safety of their mountains before making a move.
House Tully is currently neutral. They wish for a peaceful resolution. Family is what’s most important for them and they wish to avoid families being broken apart by the current war. But duty and honour demands that they sacrifice the peace they hold so dear.
House Tyrell is the second richest house of Westeros after House Lannister. Their vast lands produce large amounts crops and House Tyrell wishes to protect these riches from the devastation of war. But the other houses have other plans.
House Martell does not bow to anyone.
The Sworn Brothers of The Night’s does not take part in any conflicts within the realm. Wearing the black, they protect Westeros of the savage barbarians beyond the Wall.
The Free Folk beyond The Wall do not recognize any of these Kings. They are truly free and they choose their own destiny.
The Outlaws are the warriors of the people and they choose their own fate.
Stuff will be added to this thread later.
Special houses or factions:
- House Reed of The Neck
The crannogmen rule over the swamps in the Neck. They sometimes have the green sight and see visions of the future, present or the past. Their castle is constantly moving through the swamps and can never be found by outsiders.
- House Hightower of the Hightower (Oldtown)
All the maesters in westeros are tutored in Oldtown. This is a city of knowledge and culture. But there is also a mystical force at play here.
- House Whent of Harrenhal
Harrenhall is a cursed place. All the houses that have ruled over this place have went extinct.
The outlaws have the protection of the one true God R'hollor.
The Faceless Men are a band of assassins. No one know much about them.
More stuff about how this will work exactly:
- It’s important to know where every character/ player is during the story.
- Whenever you decide to go somewhere, make sure you let me know where you will want to remain at the end of your turn.
- When marrying someone make sure you mention the location of the wedding and where you two will reside afterwards;
- Moving from one place to another may take 2 turns if the distance is very long: ex. from the North to Dorne or vice-versa; by sea from the Iron Islands to King’s Landing
- You can only go through enemy territory through battle. Ships can go anywhere and you can also use them to navigate a river (ex. of locations which can be reached by ships: Highgarden, Godsgrace, Harrenhall, The Twins, Torrhen's Square, Barrowton).
- It takes one turn to build ships.
- When you want to take an action, please mention how many of your men you wish to take with you.
- You can also control your bannermen and order them to do stuff. You may want to mention which of your bannermen you wish to carry out some deed or another, if not I will choose for you.
- Gold can only be kept in castles. If a castle is taken by force, that castle’s gold will go to the attackers.
- The gold of the bannermen is their gold. They may lend it to you but they might ask it back. But if they really like you and you are in a pinch, they’ll just give it to you.
Feel free to test your skills in battle by attacking a bannerman.
Basically, when telling me you want to do something, I need to know:
- where you will be
- where your men will be
- if you spend your gold or move it around
- What orders you give to your bannermen
If you give the order to attack someone, or deploy your troops somewhere, please tell me the specific location/Castle/Keep. If opposing armies will meet on the road, the two will engage.
Example:
Let’s say I have the following resources:
Castle Black on The Wall
Lord: Kuro Black
600 Black men and 10 gold
His sworn bannemen:
- East Watch By The Sea (Lord Halfhand): 300 Halfhand men and 5 gold
- The Shadow Tower (Lord Snow): 200 Snow men and 5 gold
Let’s say I want to attack the Free Cities:
Pentos
Lord: Illyrio Mopatis
300 men and 200 gold
His sworn bannemen:
- Braavos (Lord X): 100 Braavos men and 100 gold
- Lys (Lord Y): 100 Lys men and 100 gold
- Qohor (Lord Z): 100 Hoat men and 100 gold
Here is what you should send me:
1) Spend 10 gold on strengthening my own troops
2) Order Halfhand and Snow to spend their 5 gold each on strengthening their own troops
3) Attack Lys with 200 of my own men and 200 of Halfhand’s men
4) Attack Braavos with 100 of my own men and 100 of Snow’s men
5) I will command both attacks
6) Deploy 50 of my own men beyond The Wall
With 1 gold you can buy 10 mercenaries
With 50 gold you can buy 1 ship.
1 ship can hold 100 people.
You can make a contract with an assassin to kill one of the bannermen / characters in the story. The price will vary depending on the person. The assassination will not be instant though.

- When marrying someone make sure you mention the location of the wedding and where you two will reside afterwards;
