Rules
A lot of these rules are pretty basic but please follow them so that we don't have to add more. Nobody likes a party pooper who spoils everything for everyone else!
Generally speaking:
✓ Respect is a must. You must respect everyone (not only the gods GMs). It's common courtesy. In that sense, please take some time to read the following: Respect and Awareness in RDG
✓ Keep drama away from the site! If you have problems with someone, talk it out in private amongst yourselves. Don't make a disaster of the site with dramatic nonsense! Keep it away.
✓ Let's try to keep swearing a minimum, shall we? I mean, we can all be adults and talk eloquently without dropping a swear word every other word. And~! Not everyone likes swear words, so be courteous to others.
✓ Keep your signatures between 500x250. It’s rather annoying when you have to keep scrolling down because someone has a huge picture in their signature. Members will receive a warning if their signature is too large. If you do not comply, one of the GMs will forcibly remove your signature. It's as simple as that.
✓ The official language of this forum is English so please try to speak it / write it in a proper way. Of course, we have people from different countries here so English might not be your primary language and you might not know it that well. In that case, as long as we can understand each other, it’s fine. But if you do know English, use it. Properly.
✓ If you're not participating in the current game, feel free to mess around in the general board. But please, don't spam it.
✓ The GMs (Game Masters) are the ones who work here. Whatever our ruling is on different issues, it is final.
✓ If you have any questions and/or concerns, feel free to talk to a fellow player or one of the GMs. We're all here to help.
Regarding your account:
✓ According to Proboards’ Terms of Service, you have to be at least 13 years to make an account on any of their forums. This includes us. Here it is, in quotes:
4. ELIGIBILITY
BY USING THE WEBSITE OR SERVICES, YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OLD AND ARE OTHERWISE LEGALLY QUALIFIED TO ENTER INTO AND FORM CONTRACTS UNDER APPLICABLE LAW. Any individual using the Website or Services on behalf of a company further represents and warrants that they are authorized to act and enter into contracts on behalf of that company. This Agreement is void where prohibited.

✓ Speaking of which, all new accounts have to be approved by the GMs (usually). We implemented this system to avoid brand new accounts (who weren’t part of the game yet) from going into the game and voting (like idiots) then disappearing forever into the abyss. We usually approve accounts during hangings or in between games so please don’t panic if you can’t use the forum immediately after signing up for an account.
✓ Keep your account safe! Don’t give your account password to someone else. If someone else uses the computer / tablet / phone aside from you (ex. kids, siblings, friends etc.), remember to log off so that they don’t accidentally post or vote as you. Also, make sure to check your PMs in private, or at least a place where someone else playing the game won’t see it.
✓ Don’t hack someone else’s account! Seriously! Also, if your friend is also playing, and is logged in but not at the computer, don’t look through their PMs! We understand that accidents might happen (for example, you are both using the same computer and you see that they have a PM from the GM), but don’t actively try to look at this stuff.
✓ This should be obvious, but don’t cheat by using two accounts to play with in the same game. Also, if you know you will probably have the same IP as someone else, please PM the GM about it when you sign up for your first game and give an explanation as to why you share the same IP (ex. using the Internet at school, visiting a friend’s house that is also playing etc.). If you don’t do this, we will probably ask you about it ourselves (and we will also probably ask you to post while at your own home as well so that we can see the different IPs). You don’t have to go into too much detail about your personal life, just let us know why you share the same IP as another player. Everything you tell us is confidential.
In the game:
✓ Those who sign up for the game are the only ones who are allowed to play. Anyone who was not able to sign up has to wait until the current game is done and for the next game's sign-ups to appear.
✓ Wolves are usually chosen randomly from the pool of players by the GM. So don’t ask to be one. Because we won’t make you one.
✓ If you are not part of the game or if you are eaten or hanged while in a game, you are not allowed to vote or talk/post about the current game with any of the still living players. Giving a living player hints or even exposing the identity of the wolf/ves will only lead to severe punishment (e.g. not being allowed to participate in the next few games). Cheating is not worth it.
Side note: phone and tablet users be careful not to vote on accident in the game's poll if you are dead or not playing.
✓ This is a game, so please don't take anything seriously. However, that does not mean that players are allowed to bully one another. Any signs of bullying will lead to two warnings. After the warnings, further punishment will be decided if the bullying still persists.
✓ Inactive players are usually eliminated from the game by the GMs. Usually, if there is no sign of activity from a player for 2 consecutive rounds, that player will be eliminated. If you don’t vote for 3 consecutive rounds you might also be eliminated depending on the GM. However, if you know you’ll probably be busy for a while and will miss a few rounds, you can still remain in the game. You don’t have to mention any reasons for it, just PM the GM that you’d like to not be eliminated for inactivity. Though keep in mind that people might find that suspicious.
✓ If you want to drop out of the game for any reason, just PM the GM about it. Don’t just post it in the round, because the GM might not see it. You don’t need to mention the reason why you’re dropping out, just that you’re dropping out.
✓ Have fun. This is a game after all.
